I am, AKA The Troubleman. I was born in Brighton on the south coast of England and currently lives in Horley, Surrey.
I grew up listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark Five and other British beat groups that dominated the limited air time available on BBC Radio in the early 1960s.
Then came a revolution in the form of illegal “pirate” radio stations broadcasting from the North Sea. Listening to non-stop pop music was a new experience for the British youth of the day.
I was introduced to the likes of Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Mary Wells, Dionne Warwicke, The Supremes and The Temptations through stations such as Radio Caroline and Radio London.
Thus began a love affair with soul and Motown that continues to this day. I am grateful for the birth of Internet Radio and through this medium enjoys re-creating those halcyon days of the 1960s and 1970s.
I am also keen to promote independent soul, blues and jazz artists in order to keep the music industry alive with new material.
I presented his first radio show on Brighton & Hove Community Radio in 2012.
I have presented shows on a number of radio stations in the USA and UK and currently hosts “The Trouble Zone” on Love Soul Radio London at 6 pm every Saturday.
