I started my DJ career when I was 14 in 1973 with my best mate Paul Wright, making our own sound system with a 12 valve amp and homemade twin Garrard SP25 Mk 2 Turntables with mixer faders.
Throughout my childhood and teens I collected on vinyl most of the Motown hits. My interest and collection included the likes of The Chi-Lites, Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Boyz II Men and many more, my favourite band was and still are the Stylistics.
During my secondary schooling until I went to University, I was doing discos for my school, family, friends and many private functions. My Father had a vast collection of LP vinyl, but not my kind of music, but much of it did come in handy when doing weddings and parties for the over 50’s back in the 1970’s.
For three years I was the resident DJ and Sports News presenter (in house TV) at St Marys University, Twickenham (1977 – 1980) with my bestman Pete Dando, when I got married in 1983.
My DJ career took me all around the London Boroughs gigging at all types venues for different occasions. Right up to 2000 I was out and about being a DJ and had to retire due to and arm operation.
I rejuvenated my DJ career when I started a new job in 2012 which allowed me to use large sound recording equipment and lighting system up to present date, I am the resident DJ at my workplace.
I joined Love Soul Radio London as a Radio Presenter in August 2019.
I look forward to presenting a wide range of LSRL genres of music to all our listeners every week on my ‘Feel Good Friday Show’ at 4pm to 6pm.
