Gary Raven's Soul Kitchen

My love for the 70s & 80s Soul Disco music began at the age of 16 years old listening to Robbie Vincent, Tony Monsoon, Greg Edwards, and so many other great DJs I could mention and add to my long list.

I also love the 90’s soulful RnB new independent soul artist and soulful house music. I’ve been collecting soul music for over 30 years I’m a bit of a vinyl junkie.

I have been influenced by artist and producers such as Terry Lewis, Jimmy Jam Gamble & Huff – The Sound of Philadelphia, Leon Ware, Leroy Hutson, Teddy Pendergrass, Harold Melvin, Bobby Womack, Roy Ayers, Norman Connors, Jones Girls, Maze ft Frankie Beverly, Luther Vandross, Change, SOS Band, Teena Marie, Slave, Rick James, Melba Moore, Donald Byrd and Marvin Gaye.

The 90’s & 2000″s artists, Mary J Blige, Raphael Saadiq, Angie Stone, Jill Scott, D Angelo, Donell Jones, Maxwell MAW, Kenny Bobien, Blaze, Arnold Jarvis, Marc Evans, Reel People, and the list goes on.
