I was Born Balham, South London on October 23 1964.

Music has been a lifelong passion of mine. I got into DJing when I discovered a passion for soul music in 1978.

My first Love was Brit Funk Band Hi-Tension By Hi-Tension closely followed by Francine McGee’s Delirium . From there my love of jazz/funk grew and always remains at the top of my list.

Of course as a DJ your ears remain open and I love and appreciate most kinds of genres. My DJing began in 1979 and I just loved to make people dance to my choice of rhythms, to this very day that remains the case.

My radio presenting started late in 2017! I remember being so nervous, but the passion for my music choices drove me to overcome those nerves. I’ve DJ’ed in various venues and in 2014, kicked off The Reading Soul-Train. In 2018 that merged into the DB Soul-Train as it is today.

David’s partner Jackie Perryman is so into music, she is the Studio Producer for David’s ‘Tuesday Breakfast Club’ show on Tuesday from 9 to 11 AM and his ‘Friday Breakfast Club’ show on Friday 8 to 10 AM.❤️
