Hello to one and all having been into music from an early age, I was more of a dancer at an early age of 4-5 dancing to the twist with my family members .
As I got older and earning pennies in my early teens, I started buying 7″ singles then 12″ singles and the occasional album. So in my early teens I would be invited to parties most weekends and asked to bring along my two 7″ singles boxed of the latest and best dance tunes.
Then at the end of my teens I had a driving licence and went to Roger Squires and purchased my first ever Disco consul a Citronic Hawaii along with speakers and lights and that when your Soulful Brother Louis was born and out on the road, supplying music and light shows entertainment to weddings, private parties and corporate events. With the very best of soul, funk, jazz funk, reggae tunes and dance music. Many time I could be found out on the dance floor or by my decks throwing down some shapes and steps in time to the music.
To this day as young as I am, I can still be found strutting my stuff and throwing down some great shapes and steps I have been told . Many were perfected in Scamps in Sutton, Cheeky Petes, Brollies in Richmond, Tiffany’s Wimbledon, The Royalty Southgate, Gulliver’s Park Lane and of course clusters of clubs in London to numerous to mention.
So when music reminds you of the good old days, when you met your husband, wife or partner the ‘Brother Louis Soul Patrol’ is here for your pleasure and mine.
Happy listening and stepping up & out in the comfort of your home, car, van or even work permitting .
Join me on my show – DJ Brov Louis ‘Soulful Patrol (For the funky monkeys with two ears)’ Thursday 4 to 6pm.
